This will make a great adition for serving with your home made pizza!

Make a loaf of bread into a movie night treat with this simple Recipe... This is also great for Pizza Crust Bread sticks and as a dip for Oysters and Escargot. Bom appetite!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 lb Tub of salted butter.
  • 2 heaping table spoon of Sweet Basil
  • 1 Heaping table spoon Oregano
  • 2 heaping table spoons Crushed Garlic
  1. Step 1

Melt the butter at Medium Low heat... you want it melted and simmering but you don't want to burn or scorch it.

  2. Step 2

Add the Garlic first... stir it into the Butter and let it simmer a minute or two before adding the Basil and Oregano.
Keep Stirring for a couple more minutes.

  3. Step 3

Turn off Stove and allow your baste to cool...
When the Butter starts to thicken it will be cool enough to put back into the plastic tub the butter came in... (Or you can use Tupperware) Stir the Baste to bring the spices off the bottom and keep them in suspension as the Butter thickens.
When the butter gets hard you want the spices evenly distributed into the butter.

  4. Step 4

This Baste can be used as is on top of Breads or mixed in with some Cream Cheese and served on Crackers... It is also great to use on steaks (Just add some Balsamic Vinegar)
Keep a tub of it in the fridge and you will be using it on almost everything.
