How to Buy Prescription Drugs in Canada
Buying prescription drugs in Canada is possible in multiple ways, whether you reside in Canada or another country. Many people look to Canada to purchase prescriptions because Canada has cheaper prescription prices. If you are not a resident of Canada or are shopping online, make sure you are purchasing from a Certified Canadian International Pharmacy Association (CIPA). Buying prescription medication does not have to be a risky task. See Resources to learn more about CIPA.

1
Get a valid prescription by visiting your primary-care doctor or a clinic. Any reputable pharmacy in Canada will require a prescription, whether online or in person.
-
2
Search for a valid online pharmacy. Avoid any pharmacy that offers to sell prescription medication without a valid prescription. PharmacyChecker (See Resources.) offers a search of verified pharmacies in many countries including Canada.

3
Order your prescription online through the mail-order service. Mail order is also useful for long-term prescriptions, and you can generally receive at least a three months' supply at one time.
-
4
Go to a Canadian pharmacy to have your prescription filled, if you are near a border crossing. Be prepared to exchange currency into Canadian dollars or to pay by a credit card that will allow a currency conversion. Contact your credit card company to inquire about any fees they charge for the service.
