you can easily make a small rose bud to show or wear.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Items that you will need for this project: 7 or 11 taste sampler plastic spoons (usually white or pink)
  • Small tin foil sheet Glue sticks (hot or cool) Pam cooking spray Glue gun Candle Felt green floral ribbon tin snippers pkg of small leaves Optional: pinback (for brooch style), floral
  1. Step 1

Use a candle to melt spoons. Hold spoon about 6 inches away from candle. When spoons are starting to melt, take the bottom of your palm and curl it backwards gently. Do not place the spoon too close to the flame of the candle to scorch them, unless you want them that way for a soot effect on the spoon.

  2. Step 2

Make 3 spoons with big curls, 3 or 6 spoons with small curls, and 2 spoons for the bud (pinch near together). After you got them the shapes you want, use the snippers to cut the spoon near the base of the neck of the spoon.

Take the 2 spoons for the center bud, glue at the bottom side-by-side and hold until dry.

  3. Step 3

Place the tin foil shiny side down, sprayed lightly with Pam. Make a small size circle with your glue gun, place 3 big curled spoons on the circle. Next glue the two bud spoons for the center. Take the next 3 curled spoons and glue in between the first 3 spoons. Repeat the same process if you are doing the 11 spoon rose bud. Cut a circle of felt and glue on the bottom of the rose.

  4. Step 4

Optional: You can place 3 leaves on the bottom first before the spoons in the circle. To add the stem after the rose is completed, heat one end of the gauge wire, to the place in the center of rose to insert to the glue already cured. You can then place the green floral ribbon to decorate the stem. 1 Calyx - insert through bottom of wire until it touches the base of the bud and glue it.

  5. Step 5

For pinback brooch style, glue pinback to the base of the felt.

    * You can buy this in a bulk package from a supplier that has them if you are going to do a lot of them.

    Good luck!
