Things You'll Need:
- Internet Access
- DirectX 8.0 (or higher)
-
Step 1
Download 3D Live Pool (link below). Save it to your desktop for easy access.
-
Step 2
Click the installation icon (titled "livepool").
-
Step 3
Read the prompts on screen as you go. Install and launch the game.
-
Step 1
Select the Quick Play tab.
-
Step 2
Edit the settings for Quick Play in the box on the right. Here, you can configure the game type (8-ball, straight, etc), opponent (human or computer), and the level of difficulty.
-
Step 3
Set the opponent option to Computer. In the Player 1 tab, input a name of your choosing.
-
Step 4
Click New Game to start a practice game against the computer. The default game will be 8-ball.
-
Step 1
Move the cue stick by using the mouse. Turning left or right will angle the cue stick in that direction.
-
Step 2
Move the mouse forward to zoom closer or move it backward to zoom out.
-
Step 3
Shoot the ball by holding the CTRL key while moving the mouse backward, then forward. How much power is behind the push is determined by how far back the mouse is pulled. Break the rack by using this method.
-
Step 4
Determine whether you are stripes or solids. There will be an indicator at the top of the screen that shows which you are after the break.
-
Step 5
Place all of your balls into the pockets, saving the 8 ball for last. If you are stripes, shoot only the striped balls into any of the pockets, and vice versa. If you miss a shot, it will be the computer's turn (all you can do is watch). Once you have cleared the table of all of your balls, sink the 8 ball to finish the game.
