Things You'll Need:
- Recipe:
- 2 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon thyme (dry or fresh)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 tablespoon black pepper
- Juice from 1/2 lemon
- 3 cloves of garlic (minced)
-
Step 1
This recipe should take approximately 30 minutes to fully complete. To start, make sure your chicken breasts are thawed. If they are very thick (over 1 inch thick), fillet the chicken breasts down the middle. To do this, put the chicken breast flat on a cutting board, and cut through the middle, parallel to the board. You should get two cuts of chicken approximately the same size. Do this for both chicken breasts. This will make the chicken easier to cook (and shorten cooking time).

Step 2
Next, prepare all the ingredients from the recipe in a medium sized mixing bowl. Mix well and then add the chicken breasts. Rub the chicken down thoroughly and make sure it is coated well. There should be just enough ingredients to coat the four pieces of chicken.

Step 3
You can cook this chicken breast recipe on a barbecue grillNow you have to decide where you want to cook the chicken. While you can probably get the most flavor out of a barbecue, you can also use a simple skillet in the kitchen if you have to. If you use a grill, brush it down with a little oil. This oil is additional to the amount stated in the recipe. Put the grill on high until hot, then lower to medium for around five minutes. This will stabilize the temperature for cooking. Place the breasts on the grill for five minutes on each side. Use a knife to make sure there is no blood inside the chicken.

Step 4
You can also cook this chicken breast recipe on your stoveIf you end up using a skillet inside the kitchen, the procedure is the same. Drizzle a little bit of olive oil onto the skillet and turn the heat to medium. Again, this is additional to that listed in the recipe. Wait a few minutes for the stove to get hot. Make sure you don't have the heat too high or the inside of your chicken will not cook properly. Once ready, cook the chicken for five minutes on each side. Again, check to make sure the middle of the chicken breast has no blood. There you have it: simple grilled chicken breast!
