2. Go to Craigslist, a website that allows users to post advertisements for free or sell or give away items.

3. Select your state of residency so you can load a Web page containing various cities within your state. Select the region nearest you to search for a Bowflex in close proximity to your home.

4. Type "Bowflex" into the keyword search text box to load all advertisements containing this word, or select the category titled "Sporting Goods" to search for exercise equipment.

5. Call the phone number provided in the ad you would like to inquire about or email the seller by clicking on the email address provided next to "Reply to;" arrange a meeting place if you would like to see or purchase the Bowflex, and ensure you discuss the form of payment required as well. Some sellers only accept cash, whereas others will accept a personal check.
