How to Clean New Cars

Most car owners like to keep the outside of their cars sparkling and the inside of their cars without spots, smells or dirt. Owners of new cars are even more obsessive about the detailing of their car, and knowing the right ways to keep your new car clean can have you putting in as little work as possible to keep the car looking new. When cars are new, each spot or blemish will stick out more, so taking care of the spots when they come up and doing it right will help to keep your new car in the shape you want it.

Instructions

1. Wash the outside of your car with liquid car wash. Add the wash sop to water and use a sponge to scrub your wet car. Be sure to scrub the entire car with an even coat and rinse the car completely.

2. Wax your wet car with a terry cloth and a car wax before it dries. The wax should be spread evenly over the entire body of the car. The wax is applied directly to the car and wiped off with a terry cloth or towel. This will wax the car and dry it at the same time, keeping it looking smooth, bright and clean.

3. Remove the mats from the inside your car and move your seats. Vacuum the floor of your car, the seats, the mats and under the seats. Replace the mat once you have finished.

4. Use cleaning wipes and protective wipes to clean the doors, panels, steering column and dashboard of your car. Wipe these areas with the wipes in the same direction and change wipes once they become dirty.

5. Spray the mirrors and inside of your windows and windshield with glass cleaner and wipe dry with a terry cloth.

6. Spray and scrub your tires with a tire shining product. This product will make your tires shine and restore their original black color. Once you have finished, use a cloth to remove any excess chemicals that may have dripped onto your rims or wheels.

7. Spray the inside of your car with a freshening spray or add an air freshner to finish the cleaning and make your car smell its best.
