Cut Grass
Cut Grass

Earn extra income on your own street

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • lawn mower
  • weed eater
  • edger
  • leaf blower
  1. Step 1

Print up some flyers or talk to your neighbors. Most likely they are already paying someone to cut their grass.
Ask what they pay and if they would do business with you instead. Maybe charge a little less than what they are currently paying as incentive to switch. I think you will find that your neighbors will want to help you out.

  2. Step 2

Make sure you can cut their grass on a weekly basis around the same day and time every week. Or whatever schedule you work out with them...be dependable. Also offer one time cuts if people are sick or on vacation and can't do it themselves. You can also offer to trim small trees and bushes and pull weeds for an additional charge.

  3. Step 3

Collect your money at the end of the month!!!
I cut 4 yards plus mine on my street every week....I charge much less than the average maintenance company. I charge $80.00 per month for basic service. That is a nice little bit of extra income in these hard times.

Tips & Warnings
  • This is best if you already have the equipment and it helps if you have riding lawn mower. It will take you alot less time, especially if the yards a large...(like mine).
  • be careful with peoples property as you are not insured.
  • If I break a sprinkler...I replace it for free. It sucks but...you wouldn't want to pay for something someone else broke either.
  • stay well hydrated
  • where a hat
  • use sunscreen
