How to Make an Inexpensive, Beautiful Wedding Pew Decoration
To help dress up your wedding venue, line your guests' pews with elegant decorations to guide your walk down the aisle as you meet your groom. Though such decorations are often pricey, making them yourself helps cut down on unnecessary spending. Additionally, the trick to making the bows inexpensive is to select the right materials. Purchasing ribbon and tulle by the spool is an economical choice, as both materials can make graceful pew decorations for your big day.

1
Divide your ribbon or tulle into sections measuring 3 to 5 yards each, depending on how big you want your bows to be. Trim the ends of each strand at an angle or into a V-shape. This will prevent the material from unraveling.

2
Make a loop in the ribbon, leaving 10 inches at one end and the remaining length at the other. The 10-inch end will act as your tail. Scrunch the base of the ribbon loop between your thumb and forefinger. This helps the material stay in place. Using the long end, make a second loop at the bottom of the first loop. The second loop should be slightly longer than the first.

Make a third loop at the top of the bow, ensuring that the loop is also slightly bigger than the first. If your ribbon is not double-sided, you will need to make a half twist in the material so the flat side faces in. Create a larger loop at the bottom and continue the pattern until you have 10 loops total. Fluff out the material if it has become creased in the process.

4
Wrap a strand of wire around the bow's center, threading it under the upper tail end rather than over it. This keeps the wire unseen. Twist the ends together at the back and fan out the bow's layers. If you wish to add extra fullness to the bow, add some silk flowers and artificial greenery by pushing the stems through the wire wrapping. Ensure that the bow's loops are adjusted to cover the stems.

5
Attach a large loop of wire to the connective wire at the back of the bow rather than purchasing hanging clips. Hook the loop around the edges of the pews to allow the bow to hang beautifully.

Tips & Warnings
Don't feel limited to decorating your pew bows with silk flowers. As an alternative, consider strands of crystals or pearls or even an unlit taper candle.
