Easy to follow step by step instructions on how to change the belt in your vacuum.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

UNPLUG THE VACUUM. Do this to avoid any accident while changing the belt.

  2. Step 2

FLIP THE VACUUM OVER. Lie the vacuum on its backside and locate the screws that are securing the belt and roller. Unscrew them and remove the roller and slide the belt off. Slide the new on where the old one came from. Make sure it is secure at both ends. Screw it back together and your done.

  3. Step 3

OPTION 2. As all models are not the same some vacuums have the screws on the top of the unit, not the bottom. If this is the case, unscrew it and then flip it on its backside and proceed with changing out the belt.

  4. Step 4

PERFORM MAITENENCE CLEANING. While on its backside get any loose particles out and unclog the hoses to ensure maximum cleaning capacity.

  5. Step 5

CLOGGAGE. Empty filters and bags weekly to prevent build up and possible cloggage. If cloggage does occur try rerouting the hoses to increase performance or unclogging the hose system to ensure max air flow from ground to bag/tank.

  6. Step 6

IF IT SUCKS, ITS GOOD. After you perform the maintenance if its working that a bonus if its not then it sucks to fail or fails to suck. I thought I would never get my to work as it would always clog and leave clumps of crap on the floor, but I rewired the hose by shortening the distance from the ground to the fill tank and ended up with a vacuum better than I originally had.

Tips & Warnings
  • Unclog the hose system
  • Try rerouting the hose
  • Remember hoe and where things came off so you can put it back on right
  • Don not hurt yourself or others
  • Experiment at your own risk
