The days are warm and herbs are bountiful so why not make up some iced tea to quench your thirst. Use some of your lemon verbena, rose hips, lavender or mint to make some great herb iced tea.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Harvest your herb of choice for your tea in the morning. Pick the leaves and the flowers and gather them in a basket. There are plenty of herbs to choose from for making herbal iced tea. Try any of your mints, your lemon herbs, anise hyssop, rose hips, and even lavender or rose geranium for a wonderful tea.

  2. Step 2

Rinse several handfuls of your herbs in clean water to be sure you don't have any insects or debris.

  3. Step 3

Place your clean herbs or herb mix in a pitcher. It will take several handfuls of fresh herbs to make a pitcher of tea. Fill the pitcher with cold water and let it sit in the refrigerator over night.

  4. Step 4

Pour your herb tea over ice in a clean glass and garnish with fresh herbs for even more added flavor.
Sweeten to taste if desired. You can use honey, sugar, or stevia.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can crush the herbs to bring out more of the flavor.
  • You can add lemon to the finished tea if desired.
  • Use stevia to sweeten your tea, as stevia is an herb that is a natural sweetener. It takes very little of it as it is very sweet.
  • Be sure you are not allergic to any of the herbs you are using for your tea.
