How to Make a Stuffed Ice Cube

All the rage at upscale bars is the concept of one glass one, ice cube drinks. Instead of crushed ice that melts faster and leaves the final sips of your drink diluted and disappointing use a single fancy ice cube with say a strawberry suspended inside to dazzle drinkers, enhance flavor as it melts and kick the party up a notch.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • shot glass ice cube mold
  • water
  • strawberry or other fruit
  • lime juice
  1. Step 1

    Fill your clean shot glass ice mold with cold filtered water. You can find these rubberized molds at novelty and kitchen stores. Usually they are 4 glasses per mold.

  2. Step 2

    Place in freezer for 24 hours to completely freeze, then un mold ice shot glasses.

  3. Step 3

    set glasses upright in your ice bin and place small strawberry or other filling in glasses. Drizzle fruit with lime juice to keep the water from cracking the glass during the second freeze.

  4. Step 4

    Set glasses back in the freezer to freeze completely and repeat for a good quantity. Enjoy with your next cocktail party.
