   Acquire the materials you will need first. Boxes, old crates, and old trash cans can be used to put different recycling materials in if you cannot afford a recycling bin.

2. Simply designate a place near a garage door, car port entrance, or side door to place a few containers that you can use to put your recycling materials in until you have enough to either put by the road (if your area has a recycling program), or take to a recycling center yourself.

3. If you have to take the materials yourself to the recycling location, then I advise to designate one morning a week to take them, or perhaps every two weeks if you do not have many materials; if you go ahead and designate a time, then you will be less tempted in the future into postponing recycling your materials and letting them pile-up.
