Homemade spaghetti is much healthier and tastier than the leading brands of sauce sold in the grocery store; but it has to be made the right way.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • tomatoes
  • tomato sauce
  • green peppers
  • onions
  • pepper
  • seasoning salt
  • pot
  • stove
  • cutting board
  1. Step 1

First, get all of the ingredients that you will need; all the utensils and a clean workspace in the kitchen.

  2. Step 2

After your space is ready, put your tomato sauce in a large pot on the stove and let it begin to get warm.

  3. Step 3

While the sauce is warming, cut up your tomatoes, onions, and peppers on your cutting board. You want to pieces to be small enough to chew easily.

  4. Step 4

Next, mix the vegetables in with the sauce and let them begin to cook. You don't want so many veggies that it's overwhelming; just enough for taste and color.

  5. Step 5

Add season salt, maybe Mrs. Dash, and some pepper for taste. Don't use regular salt because it is not as healthy.

  6. Step 6

Let everything cook up and then simmer; add to spaghetti and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't cook on high; medium is preferred
  • Other seasonings such as onion powder may be added depending on your taste buds
  • Make sure veggies are cut small enough to chew!
