  • Microwave safe bowl
  • Spoon
  • Waxed paper
  • Zip lock bag

  • 10 oz. Corn Chex
  • 1 stick butter
  • 11 oz. bag Butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • Powdered sugar

      Place one stick of butter, one 11 oz. bag of butterscotch chips, and 1 cup of peanut butter in a large microwave-safe bowl.

      Heat the bowl in the microwave for 90 seconds or until the mixture melts. Stir it well to mix everything together and smooth out lumps.

      Pour 10 oz. of Corn Chex cereal into the bowl of the melted mixture. Use a spoon to move the pieces around until they are all covered with the mixture.

      Fill a plastic zip lock bag with 1 cup of powdered sugar and a couple of spoonfuls of the covered chex mix. Shake the closed bag around to fully cover the chex pieces with the powdered sugar. Repeat until all of the pieces are covered with sugar.

      Place a piece of waxed paper on a baking pan. Dump the chex pieces on the pan. Let the pieces cool before eating them.
