How to Make An Easy Chicken and Vegetable Stir Fry
Mix up a chicken and vegetable stir fry at home that will taste as good as the dish served at the local Chinese restaurant. Stir fry is pretty easy to make, and it’s delicious as well. Use a mixture of fresh and frozen vegetables for this recipe and you will have meal in no time. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 3 boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite size pieces
- 24-oz. package of frozen stir fry vegetables
- 2 celery stalks sliced on the diagonal
- ½ onion, chopped
- 1 small head broccoli, cut into florets,
- Soy sauce
- Stir fry sauce
- Vegetable oil
- Large pan or wok
- Steamed rice

Heat a few tablespoons of vegetable in a pan or wok. When hot, throw in the chicken and stir fry them until browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.

Place the frozen and non-frozen vegetables in the pan/wok and stir fry for about eight minutes, making sure you stir and toss every so often so they get equally cooked and to make certain nothing burns. Add about 2 teaspoons to the mixture and then cook about three minutes more.

Return the chicken to the pan and mix it with the vegetables and cook and stir about another three minutes longer.

Pour about 2 tablespoons of the stir fry sauce over the chicken and vegetables and continually stir while it finishes cooking. This will only take about another two minutes.

Serve this with steamed rice.

Tips & Warnings
The frozen stir fry vegetables make this recipe easy but they never seem to given enough broccoli, onion and celery so I add those fresh. The good thing about this recipe is you can add whatever vegetables that you enjoy. Sometimes I will also add sliced zucchini to the recipe or fresh bok choy. If you add the bok choy to the recipe put the white part in with the rest of the vegetables but put in the leafy part towards the end.
