Low back pain can be occasional or chronic, but it is always a pain! You need to exercise to strengthen weak muscles.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Weak muscles in your lower back are most often the culprit of the age old problem. How can that be? If our back hurts then how can the exercise it and make it stronger? Very carefully.

  2. Step 2

Stand with your fee shoulder-width apart, your knees straight and not locked. Bend forward from your hips, keeping your weight over your heels. Keep your back straight and your hands resting on the tops of your legs - not pressing.

  3. Step 3

Bend as far forward as you can with a straight back. Rest and return to starting position. Repeat 10 times and do this several times a week.

  4. Step 4

Use ani-inflammatory topical creams that contain capsaicin and celadrin.

  5. Step 5

Use ice-packs, not heat, for several minutes at the time and rest to allow inflammation to subside. Do not use heat for the first few days. Ice does wonders to help the swelling around inflamed and swollen tissues and nerves.

  6. Step 6

Take tylenol to manage your pain symptoms. NSAIDS can irritate your stomach.

  7. Step 7

Take daily supplements that contain Chondroitin to promote healthy cartilage; Perluxan, a proprietary extract of hops that is an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, to provide quick pain relief, and Celadrin (a fatty acid).
