Make a Beautiful Diaper Cake

Learn how to make a gorgeous diaper cake for a baby shower!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A tall bottle (for the center of the cake)
  • A bulk box of diapers
  • A pack of small clear rubber bands - get at the pharmacy by the hair accessories
  • Ribbon and decorations of your choice
  • Pins with a color or pearl head
  • A tray to put the cake on
  1. Step 1

Start by rolling up the diapers and securing them with a small clear rubber band. You will probably need about 75-80 diapers to make a three tier cake.

  2. Step 2

Put the bottle in the middle of the tray, and start placing the diapers around the bottle. For the first tier, you will want to put three rows of diapers around the bottle.

  3. Step 3

Secure the diapers by placing a ribbon around them and pinning it to the diapers. Get creative with the ribbon- use bright, bold colors instead of typical pastel baby shower colors for a more fun look!

  4. Step 4

Place two rows of diapers on top of the first tier and secure with a ribbon and a pin.

  5. Step 5

Place one row of diapers on top of the second tier for the top tier. Secure with a ribbon and a pin.

  6. Step 6

Add any kind of flowers and/or accessories to make the cake personal! Baby toys, onesies, ribbons, bows, flowers, stuffed animals- anything! Have fun!
