AutoFill is a feature on Google's toolbar that allows users to pre-fill form information into their Web browser. AutoFill is commonly used to make online ordering easier, as users do not have to fill out address or credit card information when making an order.

      Open your Web browser to gain access to Google toolbar settings. Click on "Settings," located to the right of the toolbar. Select the subcategory "Options" when the settings box pops up.

      Click on the check box next to "AutoFill" to enable the service. AutoFill is now active, but must be configured. Click on "AutoFill Settings" to choose the information you want pre-filled.

      Enter the information you want to keep saved. You can store as little or as much information as you feel comfortable with. A credit card can even be added by selecting "Add a Credit Card." Once you input the information, click "OK" to save it for future use.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use AutoFill at your own risk. Although Google protects your information on secured servers, thieves will be able to easily access your information should your PC be stolen.
