Looking at applying for a grant? If you are then knowing what types of projects that have been awarded recently could be helpful in finding the right match for grant funding.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    To find out what is currently the most popular grant funding topics for foundations go to www.foundationcenter.org. At the foundation center's website you can look at individual foundations as well as look at popular projects as a whole.

  2. Step 2

    To find out what projects government agencies are currently funding look through the rewarded grant section at grants.gov. While they do not list grants from private funding they do give a good idea of what government grant funding is currently interested.

  3. Step 3

    If wanting to find out what a particular foundation or government agency has recently given grant funding for take a look at their previous annual reports. Most of these type of organizations will either have their annual reports up for public view or available as requested.

Tips & Warnings
  • Looking at the recent history in grant funding helps guide you to the correct organization.
  • Do not be afraid to think outside the box when applying for grant funding.
  • Just because a project has not been given grant funding that is similar to yours does not mean that it can not be funded.
