How to Make a Cell Phone Case with Rabbit Fur

You can purchase cell phone cases from your cell phone retailer, but they often look virtually the same. Creating your own case from rabbit fur or faux rabbit fur can provide extra protection for your phone and give it a more exotic feel. And it's a fast and easy project.

Things You'll Need

• 12- by 12-inch piece of rabbit fur (with hide still intact) or faux fur
• Needle and thread
• Scissors
• Velcro
• Ribbon

Instructions

1. 

   Lay the rabbit fur on a flat surface, hide facing up. Lay your phone in the bottom center of the hide, face up (see image).

2. 

   Fold the fur over the cell phone from the right, making sure that the entire face of the phone is covered (see image).

3. 

   Cut the fur around the cell phone. You should now have a flat piece of fur that covers the cell phone when folded around it.

4. Keep the fur folded around the cell phone. Attach the left sides of the fur together using a needle and thread. Use your phone to determine how much space you will need. Sew the bottom of the fur together as well.

5. Attach Velcro to the top inside of the rabbit fur. Slide your phone inside the case to be sure that it fits securely and can be closed with the Velcro.

6. Sew a ribbon to one of the top corners of the cell phone case to use as a carrier or to attach to a key chain.
