How to Play Multiplayer Snooker or Pool Online

Whether you are playing in a pool hall or playing online, pool or snooker just isn't as much fun when you are playing by yourself. If you would like to play with other billiards enthusiasts, there are a few online sites where you can play both multiplayer pool and multiplayer snooker. The sites also have chatting features so that you can talk to fellow players as you play.

Instructions

    • 1

Sign up for an account on a website that offers pool or snooker. There are several websites that offer both games, including FlyOrDie, 8baller and Pool Sharks. With a free account on any of these sites, you will have access to the multiplayer tables.

    • 2

Download any software that you need for the game. If you want to play on Pool Sharks, you will first have to download the game software. The download link appears on the main page, and the download is free. You can play the pool and snooker games at FlyOrDie and 8baller without any software download.

    • 3

Go into a room with other players. Once you are logged in and select the game of your choice, you will be able to see the different rooms where your selected game is being played. Game options include several varieties of billiards, including 8-ball, 9-ball and snooker. You will be able to see how many players are in each game room. Click on the room of your choice to go in and begin play.

Use your mouse to shoot. FlyOrDie, 8baller and Pool Sharks all have slightly different controls, but all three use the mouse. Moving the mouse back and forth aims the cue, and dragging the mouse backward and forward shoots. There are some variations, including holding down the left mouse button while aiming and shooting on FlyOrDie. Each site lists the instructions for game play, so make sure you read the instructions before you begin playing.

Join tournaments. Pool Sharks offers free tournament play, in which winners can win real prizes. All site members can join in tournaments. To play in FlyOrDie's weekly tournaments, you must purchase a paid membership to the site. 8baller does not hold tournaments, but they do offer a team play option. You can start your own team with your friends on the site or, if you would like to join a team but don't know anyone on 8baller, you may be able to form a team with fellow members by asking for teammates in the forum.
