Instructions

    • 1

Place the plastic bucket under the engine oil drain plug of the snowblower. The plug will have a square head and is near the rear of the engine at the bottom of the engine's housing.

    • 2

Use the end wrench and turn the plug in a counterclockwise direction. Loosen the plug and remove it from the threaded opening. Let the oil drain into the bucket.

    • 3

Place the oil filter wrench around the oil filter and turn gently in a counterclockwise direction. Spin the filter off with your hand and set in the bucket. Keep the filter pointed upward, since it will be full of oil.

    • 4

Wipe the filter area and the drain plug opening with a clean rag after the oil has finished draining. Replace the drain plug and tighten with the wrench.

    • 5

Apply some clean engine oil to the rubber gasket on the new oil filter. Spin the filter onto the mounting threads in a clockwise direction. Tighten the filter with your hands to a snug fit. Do not use the filter wrench to tighten the filter.

    • 6

Fill the oil crankcase on the snowblower with the new oil. Use the engine's manufacturer's specifications for quantity and oil type.
