For example if you were to have an extremely valuable coin you would want to store it in an airtight container where no moisture can get to it and destroy its value. To do so swing by your local bookstore or hop on the internet and purchase a coin price guide.

After pricing your coins organize them into categories of least valuable to most valuable.

Plastic tubes provide air-tight sealing, ease of storing, and really are'nt that bad lookig if you wanted to display in public. If you have one coin in particular that you need protected you can choose between either a folding protector (foldovers) pictured here or single coin capsule which are usually made from acrylic. When storing paper money plastic sleeves should be used.
