How to Buy Red Wings Tickets
The Detroit Red Wrings are one of the premiere teams in the National Hockey League. The team is extremely popular within the state and tickets tend to go fast when they go on sale. They are primarily on sale through the Detroit Red Wings web site; however, there are other ways to land a ticket or two just in case they are sold out.
Instructions
-
Official Web Site
-
1
Go to the Detroit Red Wings web site (a link is provided in the "Resources" section).
-
2
Click on "Tickets" and select the desired home game you'd like to purchase tickets to.
-
-
3
Select what kind of seats you'd like (lower bowl or upper), and click "Find Tickets" (or just select "Best Available"). You will be shown the best tickets available for your selection.

You can either have it mailed to you (which will cost extra), e-mailed to you (which is free), or have it available for you to pick up at will call (this also is free).
-

Submit your order.
Stub Hub
-
6
Go to the StubHub.com web site (link provided in "Resources").
-
7
In the search bar, type "Detroit Red Wings."
-
8
Select the game you would like tickets for.
-
9
Select the tickets you would like. All the available tickets available will be listed. Some will be less expensive than normal; however, on average the tickets will cost more than when purchasing through the team's official web site.
-
10
Click "View Details," then follow the prompts to complete the ticket purchase.
Scalping
-
11
Approach a person on the outside of the stadium who says they are selling tickets.
-
12
Ask for the location of the seats, then ask to see the tickets. Do not offer any money until you have seen the tickets to make sure they are real. While looking, take note of the ticket price. It is illegal to sell tickets above face value (although this often is attempted), but you will most likely be forced into paying more.
-
13
Ask how much they want for them. They will most likely give you a number higher than the actual ticket price. In response, offer to give slightly less than the actual ticket price. This will give you some room to haggle.
-
14
Settle on a price. With any luck you will end up around the actual price of the ticket. Give the scalper cash and you will receive your ticket.

Tips & Warnings
People also sell tickets on online auction sites such as eBay.
Scalpers should be used as a last resort. There is no guarantee there will be scalpers outside a particular venue, and there's a chance any scalpers might not have tickets in the quantity/location you desire. You assume all responsibility when dealing with scalpers.
