How to Print Collated PDF Files

A portable document format (PDF) file locks in the formatting of the document. This means, unlike other text documents (such as Word) that lose their formatting when emailed or uploaded onto the Internet, PDF will keep its setup no matter where it is distributed. A collated PDF file is a file made up of several combined PDF files. These will open as several different documents, which will make it difficult to print as one document. There is a way to bypass this issue though.

Instructions

1. Navigate to the collated PDF file you want to print.

2. Right-click the file.

3. Select "Print" from the pull-down menu.

4. Click "OK" to print the Collated PDF File. Printing the document this way will print the entire collated PDF. In contrast, when you select the document and open it, it will open the PDFs separately, which will result in you having to print each document one at a time.
