This tutorial will demonstrate how to use the Clone Stamp tool to remove flaws in photos that may not have turned out right.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Adobe Photoshop CS3 or CS4
  1. Step 1
    Open File
     
    Open File

    Import your flawed photo into Adobe Photoshop. Go to "File/Open" then navigate your way to the photo and clock "Choose" or "OK".

    Clone Stamp Tool

    Select the "Clone Stamp" tool. It is located about halfway down on the Photoshop toolbar, on the left side of the screen, and looks like the shown image. It is used to copy areas of the photo to another area. This technique is very useful under the given situation.

  3. Step 3

    "Option + Click" (PC users "Alt + Click) on an area that looks similar to the flawed area. This is what will essentially be copied on top of the

    Click and drag your mouse over the defected area. If a good sample was selected by the "Option + Click", the flaw will disappear with hardly any evidence left behind!

Tips & Warnings
  • For larger and more complex defects, you can perform this action multiple times and using different parts of the image.
  • Don't over do it! If you brush around the area too much, it will be clear that it is the same as another part of the image!
