How to Permanently Block a Website

The content adviser in the Internet Explorer allows you to control content accessible on the Internet. Specifically, it can permanently block access to a particular website. One reason for website blocking is preventing children from navigating inappropriate content. Enabling the content adviser is a one-time procedure.

Instructions

Log in to a user account in Windows Vista or XP. Open Internet Explorer.

    • 2

Click "Tools," then "Internet Options" and select the tab "Content."

    • 5

Type the address of a website you want to block and click "Never." Click "OK." Then, click "OK" again to close the window.
