How to Convert Garmin Maps

If you do a great deal of traveling, you may find yourself using more than one GPS unit. If you want to be able to use the information from your Garmin GPS in another unit, you will need to convert to the other unit's format. The Garmin unit itself can help you do this.

Instructions

1. Connect your Garman device to your computer with the UBS cord.

2. Save your MapSource data in the standard GPX exchange format to your hard drive.

3. Connect your other unit to the computer, and import the data from your hard drive to the unit.
