How to Play 9-Ball Pool Online
If you're looking to play 9-ball but don't have access to an actual pool table, try playing on your computer. Sites such as Mousebreaker and Funny Games (see resources) allow you to play online and collect high scores or play against the computer.

Playing on Mousebreaker

Press the "click to play!" button under the 9-ball icon. You must have the flash plug-in (see resources) for your browser.

Turn sound on by clicking the button. View high scores or learn how to play by pressing the specific button. Select "play" to begin the game.

Line up the cue ball by clicking and holding the mouse button on it, then moving the mouse.

Break by aiming the cue ball. Look at the strength bar at the top of the 9-ball window. Press and hold the button on the mouse. The bar will begin to fill; release the button to shoot. To hit the ball hard, wait until the bar is completely full. Use less power for finesse shots.

Click "rules" to learn how to play. Select "controls" to learn to shoot and move the cue ball. You must have the flash plug-in (see resources) for your browser.

Select "single player." Click on the cue ball. This will activate the pool stick. Use the mouse pad to line the cue ball to the numbered ball to hit.

Press and hold the button on the mouse. Then drag the pool stick back. The farther back, the harder the hit. Let go of the button to shoot the cue ball.
