As we get older our skin begins to change, and not for the better. But to avoid having skin that looks damaged, here are a few tips.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Do not smoke.
While in the beginning you will not notice a large difference in your skin, over time you will. So to avoid giving your skin a damaged look, stop smoking or never start. It also will save you a lot of money too. With as much as cigarettes and taxes on them are, it can really cost a lot throughout the year. If you do smoke, try thinking about how many packs you smoke a year. Then figure out how much money you could potentially save if you didn't. This way your skin and check book will be in much better shape.

  2. Step 2

    Always wear sunscreen.
This is also very important if you do not want your skin to wrinkle as quickly. Sundamaged skin always looks a lot worse over time. So to avoid getting harmful sunburns, wear sunscreen when you will be in the sun for a prolonged period of time. While sunscreen can not protect you from all ultraviolet rays, they can protect you from the majority. Also stay away from tanning beds, they will do the same thing to your skin over time.

  3. Step 3

    Using moisturizer.
Putting on moisturizer daily is very important. As we get older our skin is not oily as it was in our youth, that is why moisturizer is a must. It is very important to keep your skin hydrated so that it will look healthy. While keeping moisture on the outside is important, it is same with the inside. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water. What you put in your body can also have effects on what your outside looks like. By eating healthy and drinking water, your skin will look in even better shape.
