How to See What DSL Is Available Where You Live
DSL, or Digital Subscriber Line, provides a high-speed Internet connection. You can choose from many DSL providers if you live in a populous area such as a city or suburb. However, DSL may not be available in many rural areas. To find out which providers are available where you live, you may need an email address as well as your home address and phone number. You can also compare prices and connection speeds at the same time.

Tips & Warnings
If DSL isn't available in your area, check your local cell phone provider for mobile broadband. However, some mobile broadband plans limit your monthly access. Alternately, you can also check with your local satellite provider to have satellite Internet installed. This is just as fast as DSL and is available is many of the areas where DSL hasn't yet been installed.
Never provide any information beyond address, phone number and email address. Credit card numbers and Social Security numbers are not required to check for DSL access.
