How to help keep a home mold free is a question that many people want the answer to as there are illnesses that can be attributed to this problem. We can however, help protect our family from mold by taking precautions to help keep your home mold free

  1. Step 1

    On of the first things to consider in your quest to aviod home mold mold should be to check out installing a dehumidifier that works in every room of the house.

  2. Step 2

    The basement of your home is a prime place for home mold to grow, so make sure you keep the basement dry and heated in the winter months and dehumidified in the summer months to help keep a mold free home. Avoid storing items in cardboard boxes plastic plastic containers work best. Keep the boxes off the floor by placing them on shelves made of plastic or metal. This action will help eliminate places where mold can grow.

  3. Step 3

    Another precaution to take to help keep your household mold free is to keep bathrooms and kitchens well ventilated by using fans that are vented to the outside.

  4. Step 4

    An important factor in keeping your home mold free is to keep all floors clean and dry. If carpeting gets wet pull it up and dry the carpet and pad. Remember to disinfect floors before replacing the carpet.
