Safely, cheaply, and easily rid your house of fleas, their larva, and their young.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A couple of cups of Borax Laundry Detergent.
  • Something that allows you to shake or spread powder, like a strainer or flour sifter.
  • A Vacuum cleaner
  1. Step 1

You will want to put house roaming pets in a kennel, or in a gated or blocked off area if possible, so that they will not be able to walk through the areas of your home you will be treating.

  2. Step 2

In the evening, lightly sprinkle DRY Borax power on all of your carpeting, tile grout, fabric furniture, along baseboards, places your pet likes to hide or play, and especially pet bedding. For the purpose of spreading the powder, I use a flour sifter. I have also just shaken it lightly right out of the box.

  3. Step 3

Then, let the powder sit over night for it to achieve the very best results.

  4. Step 4

In the morning, just vacuum up all of the powder, along with all of the dead, and dehydrated, adult fleas, their larva and their eggs.

  5. Step 5

You may want to repeat this treatment every month or so, depending on the indoor outdoor traffic of your pets.

Tips & Warnings
  • Adult fleas do not live very long, but the eggs they lay are the real problem, and this will get rid of them quickly and easily.
  • Check with your vet. I did and was assured that this treatment is both safe and effective around common household pets.
