How to Donate to Locks of Love by Mail

You can now mail in your locks to Locks of Love; you no longer have to search for a Salon that participates in this program. You can go to any salon of your choice. Locks of Love is a non-profit in West Palm Beach, Fl that accepts hair from those who are willing to donate and give it to families of children that have lost their hair due to medical problems such as cancer. Donating to Locks of Love can be perplexing because many people think they must go to certain salons to donate their hair to Locks of Love. Follow these steps to donate your hair today.

Instructions

1. You must first make sure you have 10 inches of hair donate. This is from where the pony tail starts and where it ends.

2. Make sure your hair is in a ponytail or braid it before you have it cut. Locks of love can not accept dirty or wet hair.

3. The hair being donated must be clean. It must also be dry before it is mailed out.

4. Buy a padded envelope and place the hair in it, I would recommend putting it in a ziplock bag. Mail it to: Locks of Love, 234 Southern Blvd., west Palm Beach, FL 33405. Visit the locks of love website below for more information and guidelines.

5. Many salons will run specials and cut your hair for free if you are willing to donate it to Locks of Love. Try looking in local ads for these types of specials.
