You have the ring, now make the announcement of your coming marriage formally to your friends and family

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Invitations
  • location
  • friends, relatives
  • good food
  • good music
  1. Step 1

Invite all family and close friends who live in the area you are throwing the party. Parents are a must invite even if they won't be able to attend. Invite those you want to be a member of the bridal party also, especially if they have no idea they are to be part of your special day.

  2. Step 2

You can go casual with a pool party, formal with a fancy dinner or fun with a day of activities. You want to make sure people have time to mix and mingle because most of them are probably meeting for the first time.
I do suggest this party being a different feel than what you are wanting for your wedding. Keep the themes different so when the big day comes, the guests will be wowed.

  3. Step 3

When it is meal time, get everyone's attention. You can have a designated announcer such as a DJ, the groom, a close friend, even your pastor. You can be formally announced as the future bride & groom, future Mr. & Mrs. or simple have the person say that Bob & Jane have an announcement to make. This is when you announce your wedding, and you can announce you are choosing as your bridal party.

  4. Step 4

Toast everyone, thank people who made the party possible. This is a great time to thank parents for bringing you into this world, your fiance's parents for raising that person to be who they are, the people responsible for your meeting etc.

Tips & Warnings
  • Photo & video should be done. Great time to test out photographers & videographers you may hire for the big day.
