Contrary to popular belief, frozen vegetables can be just as healthy, if not healthier, than fresh veggies. They're frozen as soon as they're picked, so essential nutrients are preserved. Fresh vegetables, on the other hand, often take days to get your plate, potentially losing much of their nutrition.
A stir-fry is a relatively quick and easy way to cook vegetables from frozen for a healthy meal.
Heat the oil in a frying pan or wok over a medium-high heat.
When the oil is hot, add frozen vegetables, plus salt, pepper and spices, if you wish.
Stir regularly until the vegetables are soft and brightly colored, about 5 to 10 minutes (or longer if you prefer your vegetables very tender).
Add a stir-fry sauce, if desired.
Serve piping hot.
