Instructions

1. Get a Hotmail account by finding Hotmail's sign-up web page.
   
   Hotmail, now a joint venture between MSN and Microsoft, can be found by entering hotmail.com into your web address bar or see link at the bottom of the page.
   
   If you already have a Windows Live ID for Messenger or XBox Live, you already have a Hotmail account. Simply enter your Windows Live ID and password on the right hand side of the page to be prompted to your Hotmail account.
   
   If you don't have a Windows Live ID, select "sign up" on the bottom left side of the web page.

2. Enter the required information on the sign-up page.
   
   Enter your Windows Live ID which is your Hotmail email address. After you have filled out the required fields, read the Microsoft Service Agreement and Privacy Policy. Lastly, select "I accept" at the bottom of the page.

3. Begin using your Hotmail Account.
   
   Your free Hotmail account, recently acquired by Microsoft, offers online security, plenty of storage space, and is user friendly.
