How to Make Candle Tarts in Clamshell Molds
Clam shell tart molds take the hard work out of making wax melts for use in fragrance oil burners or warmers. Any kind of candle wax is suitable to use in making wax melts
including soy wax, beeswax, or paraffin wax. It is also possible to melt down existing candles, such as tea lights, to refashion them into scented wax melts.

Tips & Warnings
It is important to pour the wax at the correct temperature as wax that is too hot may distort the plastic of the clam shell mold, and wax that is too cool won't shrink away from the mold which will make it harder to remove.
It is also possible to make single wax melts by pouring the wax into an ice cube tray.
Make your own double boiler by standing a small pan inside a larger pan, having enough water in the larger pan to reach halfway up the sides of the smaller pan. Boil the water in the large pan, taking care that the boiling water does not splash over and into the small pan. Place the wax to be melted in the small pan.
