Things You'll Need:
- 6 cups of Rice Krispies
- 10.5 oz bag of mini-marshmallows
- 3 TBSP Salted Butter
- Non-stick (preferably) baking pan
- Large (6.5 qt.) pot (like a pasta pot!)
- Wooden Spoon or Spatula
- Cooking Spray
-
Step 1
Put the large pot on the stove on the lowest possible heat.
Take some cooking spray and lightly spray the baking pan, then spread it around with a paper towel to even it out and coat the sides. -
Step 2
Add the 3 Tbsp. of butter to the pot and let it melt slowly. Cooking it too fast will burn the butter and ruin your perfect treats!
-
Step 3
Add ALL the 10.5 oz. of mini marshmallows. You can eat a few if you like, but that extra 1/2 oz. makes them a little gooier! (The large marshmallows are a 10 oz. bag)
-
Step 4
Use a wooden spoon or stiff spatula to mix the marshmallows and the butter. Make sure all the marshmallows have some butter on them.
Continue to stir and keep on low heat. You can let it sit for a few minutes to heat up, but don't let the mixture sit too long or it may burn and ruin your perfect treats! -
Step 5
Once all the marshmallows have melted and you don't see any left, turn the heat off and immediately add six cups of Rice Krispies. Using the spoon/spatula, bring the melted marshmallows over the krispies and mix it good so that all the marshmallow is evenly coating the Krispies.
-
Step 6
Using the spoon/spatula, pour the mixture into the baking pan. Hold the pan by both sides and shake the mixture around to flatten it out in the pan. Then use the spoon/spatula to push it to the sides and flatten it out.
-
Step 7
Put it fridge for 10 minutes or so (depending how patient you are!) so they can cool and harden a bit. This will make it easier to cut them.
Cut into squares and enjoy.
