This recipe will tell you how to make a delicious garlic, green bean, and chicken stir-fry with optional water chestnuts. The stir-fry can be served with a side of white rice.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breats (thawed)
  • 2 1-pound bags of frozen, precut green beans (thawed)
  • 5 ounces of sliced water chestnuts (drained) (optional)
  • 4 cups of instant white rice (prepared) (optional)
  • olive oil
  • soy sauce
  • garlic salt
  • minced garlic
  • large skillet
  • wooden spoon
  1. Step 1

Slice the thawed chicken breasts onto bite-sized pieces. Set aside.

  2. Step 2

Pour 2 tablespoons of olive oil into the skillet. Put the skillet on the stove and turn the stove on low.

  3. Step 3

Add the chicken breast pieces into the skillet. Turn the stove up to medium. Stir. Let the chicken cook until the edges turn white. Add minced garlic to taste. Stir.

  4. Step 4

Add the thawed green beans, optional water chestnuts, and 3 tablespoons of soy sauce to the skillet. Stir.

  5. Step 5

Continue stirring the stir-fry until the green beans begin to shrivle. Turn the stove down to low. Add more soy sauce, minced garlic, and garlic salt to taste. Stir.

  6. Step 6

If you want, serve the stir-fry with a side of cooked white rice. Enjoy. Serves 4.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try substituting soy sauce for a stir-fry sauce. This can be found at your local grocery store.
  • You may also try adding fresh vegetables to your stir-fry, depending on what you like and which vegetables are in season.
  • Try substituting white rice for lo mein noodles. Follow the cooking directions on the package.
  • Stir-frys require constant stirring. Be sure not to leave the skillet unattended for too long.
