Learn how to select the best palm for your area, brew a super food to make your palm grow faster.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Select a palm that is cold hardy to your area or Zone. Research cold hardy palms at www.junglemusic.net

  2. Step 2

    Pick a planting spot. Consider the size and growth rate of your selection. Do not plant in an area which will require pruning as this will damage your palm.

  3. Step 3

    Mix and use this awesome palm food.

    Ingredients: 1/2 can of beer (refresh yourself with the rest)
    1/2 cup of Epsom Salts
    1/4 cup of Ammonia
    1 cup of water

    Mix the ingredients and put in a container. Refrigerate for continued use.

    Mix 1 ounce per gallon of water, feed your palm with 1 gallon every two weeks.

  4. Step 4

    Watch and enjoy your palm' s accelerated growth.

on 11/24/2009 Thank you, I am working on growing palms from seeds which I collected while in Marathon Florida a few weeks ago. I am taking alot of photos of the progress and will soon write an article on how I did it.
