How to Copy and Paste From Word into Blogger Without the Tags

An easy and effective way to cut the tags out of copied and pasted text from Word into Blogger.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Write your post in Word and save it.

  2. Step 2
    Highlighted text
    Highlighted text

    Using your mouse, highlight the text you want to copy in Word. Position the mouse prompt over the first letter of your paragraph, click the left mouse button and hold it while dragging. The text will become highlighted with black. When you have highlighted all the text you want to copy and paste, hold the CTRL button down and at the same time hit the C key. This will copy your highlighted text.

  3. Step 3

    CTRL C = copy. CTRL V = Paste.

  4. Step 4

    Log into Blogger and open the blog you want to paste into.

  5. Step 5
    Edit  HTML
    Edit HTML

    Click New Post. It will bring up a compose new post screen. On the right at the top of the box, there are two tabs. Compose, and Edit HTML. Click the Edit HTML button.

  6. Step 6

    Paste your text into this box. CTRL V. You can always click onto the Compose tab when you’re through pasting into the Edit HTML box and change the way the font looks. Simply highlight the text again and go up to the ‘Font’ button. Choose a new font, a new font size and a new font color.

  7. Step 7

    Give it a title and when you’re done, click Publish Post. This will save your copied and pasted text into Blogger without the tags from Word showing up in your post!
