Neti-Pots are wonderful tools to clear out your sinuses! They can help relieve sinus head ache, congestion, and nasal drip.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Neti-Pot
  • Warm Water
  • Salt
  1. Step 1

Get yourself a Neti-Pot. Check out your local health food stores and drug stores to find one.

  2. Step 2

To use your Neti-Pot you will make a saline solution to rinse your nasal canal and sinuses out. Use lukewarm water and a couple of dashes of salt to fill your Neti-Pot. Swirl your water around a bit to mix the salt and water.

  3. Step 3

Over a sink, put the nozzle of your Neti-Pot to you nostril. Your head will maintain an upright position during the process. Keeping you head upright, and making sure that the hole on the nozzle of the Neti-Pot is aligned well inside your nostril, begin to pour the Neti-Pot by slowly tipping it.

  4. Step 4

It can feel quite strange when it starts to pour up your nose, but don't stop. The water will begin to drain out the other nostril. (This is why you are over a sink.) Continue to pour for a moment more. Remove the Net-Pot from your nostril and let the water drain from your nose. Repeat on the other nostril. Most will find it comfortable to blow their noses after the process is over.

  5. Step 5

    Enjoy your newly cleaned sinuses!

Tips & Warnings
