Cat Breeders make their living by breeding special species of cats that usually worth a great deal of money. Persian cats are a common breed of cat. Persian cats can sell for as much as $1,500 if purchased from a pet store.

The breeding process is not all that complex, and any ordinary person with a little knowledge of cats could successfully breed Persian cats. One thing that you want to stay away from is breeding cats that have blue eyes and pure white coat. Many times blue eyed white Persians are born deaf.

If you wan to breed Persians to produce kittens basically it is fairly simple. But remember, it can be quite expensive when the kittens are born because you will have to have them checked by a vet and get them the required shots.

  4. Step 4

If you purchase two Persian kittens from a breeder one male and one female, by the time they reach 12 months, they are capable of reproducing. The pregnancy of a cat lasts about 4 months. It is just a simple matter of the cats mating to produce offspring. In some cases, the female is not receptive to the male cat and it may take much longer for the cat to become pregnant.

  5. Step 5

Persians usually have litters of 3-5 kittens. They have distinct markings, eyes and a fluffy coat. If you do breed and decide to sell the kittens, you will have to present a health certificate to the buyer. Sometimes people may breed Persians just one time then they have them fixed.
