1
Buy chicken legs. Get them while they are on sale and freeze them because you will soon be broiling chicken often!
-
2
Wash the chicken legs and pat them dry or just lay them on some paper towels and let them drip a bit.
-
-
3
Line a shallow pan with foil for easy clean up. You can use a broiler pan or a cookie sheet with an edge to it. You can also use a casserole dish.
-
4
Lay the chicken legs with the skin side down on the foil. Season with salt and pepper or lemon pepper.
-
5
Put your oven rack on the lowest level. Turn both knobs to the broiler setting. Place the pan of chicken in the oven and shut the door. Let it broil for 15 minutes.
-
6
After 15 minutes take the pan out and pour out any grease into a grease safe blow (metal bowl is good). Turn all the chicken pieces over and season them again with salt and pepper or lemon pepper.
-
7
Return the chicken to the oven and broil for another 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and serve!
-
8
You may remove the skin before broiling if you want a lower calorie version but it will not be as crisp since there will be no skin!
