How to Easily BBQ Salmon
While it is widely known that fish in general is a healthy meal option, salmon is one of the most nutritious and beneficial types of fish available to consume. These migrating fish contain substantially high amounts of omega-3 fatty acids, essential nutrients for our bodies. In addition, salmon is also an excellent source of protein and vitamins. If you're having a backyard barbecue, grilled salmon with barbecue sauce is a healthy, light alternative to heavier and fattier grilled meat options. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Olive oil
- Skinless salmon fillet
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Barbecue Sauce
- Basting brush

Prepare grill for high heat and brush the grill grates with olive oil.

Brush the salmon fillet with olive oil on both sides using a basting brush, then season with salt and pepper to taste.

Place the salmon on the grill and cook for three or four minutes on each side.

Brush barbecue sauce generously on both sides of the salmon as it is cooking. Grill until golden brown and slightly charred on both sides.

Place the cooked salmon on a plate and add more barbecue sauce as you see fit.

Allow the salmon to rest for five minutes before serving.

Tips & Warnings
If you choose to use salmon with the skin still on, sear the salmon skin-side down for a minute on the grill for a crisp skin.
