  • Food processor
  • Handful of fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 white onion
  • 1/4 jalapeno
  • Juice from one lime
  • 6 tomatoes
  • Pinch of salt
  • Spoon
  • Dippers: tortilla chips or veggies

Instructions

      Place cilantro, chunk of onion and jalapeno, and lime juice in a food processor.

      Pulverize the spices until they form the consistency of a paste.

      Add tomatoes one at a time, pulsing them into the mixture.

      Pour the salsa into a bowl, and then add a pinch of salt, stirring it in with a spoon.

      Serve with tortilla chips or veggies.

Tips & Warnings

  • Tweak the heat of your salsa by increasing or decreasing the amount of jalapeno you use.

  • If you prefer a chunkier salsa, dice the final two tomatoes by hand.

  • Be careful when handling jalapenos, as the juice can burn sensitive tissue in the eyes, nose and mouth. Wash your hands carefully after touching them.
