My article will give you inspiritional ideas and suggestions to cope with finances and your emotional outlook during unemployment.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Resumes
  • Paper
  • Pen
  • Motivational book
  • Soothing music
  1. Step 1

Relax. Unemployment is hard on everyone but the last thing you want to do is to panic. We usually don't make sound or wise decisions when we panic. So, before you start diving into what you need to do listen to some relaxing music and calm your mind.

  2. Step 2

Prepare. You've lost your job but prepare to bounce right back into the workforce. Now would be a perfect time to look into a career change or to go to school and further your education. Employers like to see that you are keeping yourself occupied or bettering yourself while in between jobs.

  3. Step 3

Renew. Now is the time to renew your resume and make it current and get your resume into as many hands as possible. Also, not a bad time for a makeover either since it will boost emotions and ego. Change your spending habits and write your finances out on paper separating your wants from your needs.

Tips & Warnings
  • Write down everything from your feelings to finances to failures to successes.
  • A great motivational book is a plus because it will boost your moral and outlook as you read about others who may be or have been through your dilemna.
  • Budget your money wisely and live a more simplified life.
  • I will warn you that all though these things have worked for myself it does not mean that this will absolutely work for everyone else cause they are unemployed. Success is dependant on each individual's emotional makeup or need.
