How to Give Yourself Retro Vibrant Green French Tips - French Tip with Scotch Tape

I watched an old episode of 'We Got Married' yesterday and saw one of the stars sporting this on her nails. I loved it, then forgot about it, went to Walgreens for something else, looked around, saw my beautiful green nail polish on display and immediately purchased it. I love bright color nail polishes.

L'Oreal Shockin Green is a pretty lime green shade with just a hint of gold shimmer.

In this tutorial, I will show you how to give yourself french tips using just scotch tape.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• L'OREAL Nail Polish in Shocking Green #932
• Sally Hansen Double Duty Base & Top Coat
• Scotch Tape

1. 
    

   Start off with your usual nail prep and apply a clear base coat onto each nail. Sally Hansen's Double Duty Strengthening Top and Base Coat is a great choice.

2. 
    

   Stick on a piece of tape like so after the base coat is dry on each nail. I place the tape about 2/5-3/5 of the nail in. Do not stick it on completely yet.

   You do not want a straight line so adjust the tape as necessary. For me, I like to use the adjacent finger to hold down the middle of the tape wile I pull down the ends of the tape towards the base of the nail with the other hand.

   After you've got your tape down, apply your nail polish.

5. 
    

   Wait for the nail polish to dry and then slowly and gently peel off the tape.

6. 
    

   Apply another coat of clear ail polish.
